APEL is an indirect non-wholly owned subsidiary of Yee Hop Holdings Limited (1662.HK), bringing together university research, industrial expertise and a dedicated commercialisation platform to move environmental technologies beyond the laboratory.

Our joint laboratory with The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology advances materials for water, environmental and health applications. From our commercialisation laboratory at Hong Kong Science Park, we develop solutions ready for real operating conditions.

Why source control matters

Laser-based research has visualised how a flush can drive an energetic plume of airborne particles above a commercial toilet. The image shows particle movement—not pathogens—and illustrates why water hygiene and source-focused control deserve attention alongside surface cleaning.
